About Epsom:
Epsom is situated north of Gatwick Airport, a 23-mile journey that takes approximately 27 minutes by taxi through the M25 and A24. This town, located in the county of Surrey, is nestled on the chalk downland and is home to the Epsom Downs racecourse, which is famous for hosting the Epsom Derby annually.

The Epsom Downs racecourse is the site of two of the five English Classic horse races: the Derby and the Oaks. These races have a rich history, dating back to 1780. Epsom has been recognized historically as a spa town, though much of its spa heritage has been lost over time, with only a water pump remaining. The Assembly Rooms, constructed around 1690 and now a pub, once offered entertainment. Many of the wells that once supplied Epsom salts have been replaced by housing developments. Epsom salts, named after the town, are derived from Epsom mineral waters. Epsom salts, or magnesium sulfate, were originally produced by distilling these waters. Today, Epsom railway station provides frequent train services to London (including Waterloo, Victoria, and London Bridge), as well as to Leatherhead, Dorking, Guildford, Horsham, West Croydon, and Wimbledon, where it connects with the London Underground. This strategic location, in the heart of the London commuter belt, offers easy access to the Greater London area to the north and the scenic countryside of Surrey to the south. As a result, the borough of Epsom and Ewell was named as the “Best Place to Live” in the United Kingdom by Channel 4’s Location, Location, Location in August 2005, ranking at numbers 8 and 3 in subsequent years.
